    <Abstract>Distal femoral fracture with intramedullary nail in situ is a rare situation. We report here a case of healed femoral shaft fracture with intramedullary nailing for three years, who has recently had an un-comminuted supracondylar re-fracture with nail tip cut-out as a result of minor trauma in the presence of osteoporosis.</Abstract>
